Why is Babywearing so important?

Babycarrying is a practice that humans have been engaging in throughout history and for very good reasons. Research has shown that compared to other mammals, human babies are born at least three months prematurely and therefore are still undergoing substantial development even after they are born. During the conclusion of the gestation period babies should be held close to their mother, preferably skin-to-skin to allow their heartbeat and temperature to remain more stable. Holding your baby makes the transition from the womb much easier, however this is not always practical when you have other important things to do. Using the ERGObaby carrier allows you to keep your baby close whilst giving you the freedom to remain active and productive in your daily life.
